Moment's Song

moment's once had
                 forever gone,
makes for the perfect
                 country song,

don't mention my mother
                 or even the truck,
has nothing to do with
                 life's bad luck,

no rain, and no trains
                 shall be in the picture,
as another sad country song
                 becomes just but a fixture,

dancing thru the moment's
                 some good and some bad,
weighing the difference's
                 that made love sad,

sometimes the smiles
                 over takes the frowns,
some good moments
                 country song sweet sounds,

moment's once had
                 forever gone,
makes for the perfect
                 country song.
.

I write a lot of songs and I have to say that's a good summation.

Beautiful.  Brings a sad smile to my eyes to see a country song I can actually identify with.  The perfect country song is an understatement, my good sir.  Love the poetry.  Hope to read more of this beauty.

Wonderful piece, nicely written. I am not one for country music but each to their own

country music is depressing, too depressing even for me.
