A Triolet - I think

I’m seeking the silent solace of my soul,
For a life alone I now must chart
My love, my mettle is what you stole
I’m seeking the silent solace of my soul.
I pray the inwardness will make me whole
The quiet to unburden my heavy heart.
I’m seeking the silent solace of my soul
For a life alone I now must chart.

Dear Dinah,  I think this is a lovely triolet.  I have not written one for awhile and was wondering if the syllables in each line are limited, but cannot find that they are.  I think all the rules have been followed and despite restrictions a lovely poem.  Joyce

(smiles) Oh Das, this is wonderful, sweet friend, this is a beautiful uplifting poem  and the solace you find will always be lying there like a water lily in your hearts oasis! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Das, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Good grief what on earth is a Triolet, some I can figure out, some I can't. Nice write, so many different types of poetry for me to look up today.

Love reading all these great writes.
I write not!

Nice job Spirit. Not sure what a triolet is either, but I know I liked this.

I had to laugh at Flower's response. It's one thing to look them up, it another whole thing to write the different types of poems. Geez!!

Hugs, Marti

I read about Triolets so decided to try and write one, it was a fun exercise. I appreciate the comments.
