Songs Of Love

Alive it comes with gentle spring rain
turning lush the ground on which it falls
Feeding mountain glen and valley plain
while spilling over rocky waterfalls

Swelling as the creek begins to flow
tumbling over pebbles in its rush
The song of which will make sad hearts glow
and bring to our cheeks a healthy blush

Sweet serenade of wild birds in search
of mate and nest to begin springs birth
Winds caress while clinging to their perch
nature at life’s most infinite worth

Tasting sweetness is the honeybee
spreading pollen then to his hive he flees
Scent and color paint the world with glee
filling senses with life from every breeze

Hearts open as we take the scene in
surrounded by all the songs of love
Spring brings life with the desire to win
while gently singing sweet songs of love

Startime

Absolutely beautiful verse.  Spring is abloom once again, not only in our hearts and minds, but in the day.  Isn't it wonderful!

Startime55 - your words are as sweet as a honeybee, and gentle as a spring rain. My vote...

Wonderful descriptions I feel the warming sun just reading this...

wishing it were real right now.... snowing here in Toronto....The trees were just beginning to bud and we could see the canyon behind us turn from grey to brown to green...
