“LADY WITH A SMILE”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Her heart is one of some pain,
yet her pen writes of romance,
soft words flow from within,
in rhyme with tender dance…
A melody must be in her heart,
for words to flow this way,
if I knew how to say my thoughts,
I’d ask her if she would stay…
If the chance would once come,
perhaps if only for just a while,
the pain I would take away,
from this lovely lady with a smile…
How tender and sensitive!
To recognize pain, you must have gone through it too.
Don't we all know some hidden pain?
This is very beautiful.
If there were more men (and women) in the world, each with a tender and caring heart such as yours, the world would be a much happier place.
Bill,
Well, this lady is smiling. If you call this not able to say your thoughts quite well, you'd blow our minds and hearts were your words any clearer or romantic or sensitive.
This is wonderful
Bill, this is so pretty. And your
"Lady With A Smile" is certainly
thinking so, too, I'm sure.
Bill? I think I know someone like this!
You do have a genuine appreciation for women that you manage to convey without ever losing that lovely quality of "gentleman" that we have come to adore!
Written with a heart of sincerity.
You have got the sweetest heart.  I was reading the replies to this poem, and someone said if more men and women had your heart, the world would be so much better off. (something to the effect).  I have thought this so many times after reading your writing.  Why can't I find a man with the words you have in your heart?  Maybe, Bill, you are the only one on the planet.  So, I will just savor the feeling through your poetry.
-Patricia
