Listening to every heart

OH Check out this Afternoon!

Isn’t it delightful
this day so bright and clear
somewhere it may be raining
but for a fact, please hear
that though it may be gray out there
in your heart, please see the Shine!
knowing that you’re someone’s love
and someone calls you “mine!”

O what an afternoon
it’s calling for some bright
it was so very long and dark
just hours before, last night ~
but now the springs are welling
flowers peeking from their dwelling
rabbits rampant in the sun
not the only ones for fun!

O glorious day, favoring rays
freckles peeking, lovebirds seeking
glancing chances for romances
and little larks there in the park…
from south to north, and east to west
spring has sprung forth its very best
and so I have to ask, you see…
if you'll enjoy afternoon with me!

Well, so far this new open forum seems to positively burst with Springtime and happiness posts!
This one made me want to dangle my feet in a cool stream or lake.

Patricia - ok, I'll be right there to enjoy the afternoon. The sun is shining here also, but a little shower might come in...

April is finally in the cooperative mode for us.  I, too, have the most beautiful day to enjoy in St. Louis as well as beautiful poetry to savor.  Who could ask for anything more?

Well of course I will.  But I'll enjoy it from the indoors while I write my research paper for Philosophy.

Love your poem.  Lots of cute images, and the style you chose to write the poem in really adds to the overall cheerful tone of it.  Gave me a real grin to read.  Thank you for sharing this with us, Sunshine.

My afternoon found me helping the flowers along... I was filthy with potting soil and loving every minute of it! LOL This leaves just such a smile... *S*
