I often find myself
behind the falling of tears...
A trembling grimace
folding new lines in my
slowly aging face;
emotional pain just
passing through
and lingering too long...
Then she takes my offered hand
pulls it into her embrace
wrapping my arm
around her little heart
that sometimes finds its
big emotions
She lays her head
in the crook of my arm
     and falls to sleep...
Such a little Somebody
can cause my heart to ache so
That, the same, can heal it
in mere seconds...
And I often find myself
behind the falling of tears --
     Smiling...

Thank you Lynda   I'm glad you were able to relate..
I wasn't going to post this poem for the book as I'd already posted more than I'd planned, but I really liked it myself..lol

Well! They certainly touch our hearts!
And those tears always drip into the memories of time.
This is the love that bonds us forever!
Very beautiful read, enjoyed….thank you!
