Fallen Leaves
Dead to the ground
A stitch of time
Taken from mine
As I look beyond
Sweet tears touch
Dawn light lay across
As nature awakes
Near snow topped peaks
I say my prayer
For you I keep

"Somewhere, somehow, it should be possible to touch someone and never let go again.  To hold someone, not for a moment but forever." Unknown

You know this almost rang like "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" and it was such a lovely prayer as well.  I really look forward to your poetry and this is another reason why.

There are some who will always remain. (Amen) I woke up this morning with thoughts of dawn and the promise of a new day as well, so you certainly caught me in the perfect mood to especially vote for this  poem. Good job.

Other than the font color, which made it very difficult to read, I loved your words.

Very soft and soothing, Bridgette. Lovely! I had a bit of trouble reading the green font though. Perhaps it is my screen...or maybe my eyes!

Lovely job Bridgette.  I really like how you played with the hint of another familiar rhyming phrase in this piece.  The images are beautifully expressed.  Again at the end it subtly reminds of the "lay me down to sleep" rhyme.  Quite witty of you my friend.  And by the way, I certainly do appreciate the "bumps".  You are too kind.  Anyway, you've got my vote with this creatively crafted write.
