I speak to you
as morning’s gold filament
fades in leaves
and strong brown limbs of trees
shake hands
with early breezes.

The sights and sounds
clothe your spirit
against tomorrow's promises
weaving illusions,
which may bare
a thousand sharp needs.

Yet solitude will be fleeting:
for as surely as trees
give summer shade, moments
purple as love songs
white as whispered vows
will return when I am with you
again on that tomorrow,
as the golden fingers of morning
banish illusions, dress our dreams.

Patrick, I love the softness of this, it's a softness  that hides depths in particular this phrase that shows the reefs beneath.
"weaving illusions,
which may bare
a thousand sharp needs."

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

...I think you spoke very tenderly...and so warmly that your words of love could melt the polar ice cap!

Beautiful imagery I do agree, and the gentleness of the poem along with it makes it a definite choice for the book (will find more of your work now - this was lovely).

Don't be too hard on yourself - even Einstein had trouble tying his shoelaces.

(sigh) Keep looking to the morning light and perhaps the morning glories will again open for you and present to you that same classic love, dearest friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Patrick, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
