Dancing Tear Leaves

Soft steps beneath the warming star
over rolling hills of running green
bring us to familiar friends
resting close beside the water's gleam
We pause to share a smile and give
as we inhale their tender sway
The tearful ballet of dancing leaves
brings forth good comfort to the day

So much truth and restful sorrow
live within those weeping leaves
Branches stretch down to brush the green
and whistle the soft gentle notes of spring
We pause to bathe in the giving wind
as it lifts their fragile reaching arms
The tearful ballet of dancing leaves
delivers our love and God's good charm

We applaud with silent smiles
these blessed willows we have found
We watch their branches twist and float
as feathered leaves tickle the laughing ground
Together we shall weep in joy
and worship their dance of giving
The tearful ballet of dancing leaves
gives grace in God's green living

Hello Timothy

The images portrayed through your words were magical and this is a must for the book.

Take care......Sue

I lost a friend by the name of Willow, who was a dancer by occupation and your poem absolutely touched my heart more than I can tell you.  The images you created of a ballet in my mind with your descriptions of the branches and the swaying of them, truly was spectacular writing.  I hope you do not mind if I send this about to some friends to read.

Your wife must be a very special woman--as her husband appears to be a very special man!

Thank you all so much.  Yes I am one of those lucky ones who has a great marriage.  Next to God, my wife is my life.  She hasn't read this one yet.  I hope she will like it.  Mysteria please do share it with whomever you like.  It always amazes me how the same words can be used differently by God to help different people in so many ways.  God bless you all and I sincerely appreciate your votes.

Thanx - Tim

I cannot get over all of the warm responses.  Upon finding this site, I was very nervous about posting my work, for I had always just wrote for my own enjoyment, never for others to read.  I am so glad that I have.  God bless all of you so much.  Reading these responses this morning has blessed me so and made this a day that much closer to God.

Thank you - Tim
