Allure

Allure ... resting in the alacrity of mesmerized breeze
Captured early moments in pillowed desires to please
Cherished futures ride the wings of erupting dreams
Clouding spheres of fortune in yawn of dawn beams

Lyrics of innocence dance in velvet curtains of sleep
Sheltering emerald reflections of love passages keep
Cradled embrace tossed in throes of tangled thought
Stretch to the warming rise of imaginations caught

Yearn of learn sparkles in first kiss of morning dew
Rested between lips of quiver dividing horizon's hue
Breath of hibiscus song nestled in whispering spoon
Blossoms to silken caress where fantasies are strewn

Birth of silence lingers between the walls of delight
Grasping at freckled constellations lost in the night
Flickering aromas blaze the winds of untried time
Whirlpooled in resistance to noon's spiraling climb

Beckonings of promise swelter in passionate musk
Taunting dismissed shadows from yesterdays dusk
Harmonies of midnight administer a loneliness cure
                                                                Bringing
                                        us full eclipse
             to tomorrow's

Allure ... resting in the alacrity of mesmerized breeze
Captured early moments in pillowed desires to please
Cherished futures ride the wings of erupting dreams
Clouding spheres of fortune in yawn of dawn beams

(Big Smiles) It is wonderful almost enough just simply to see your name here amongst us, but it is also very very good to know that you have placed this particular poem here for submission into the anthology because of your most creative word associations that you've combined throughout this poem speak volumes of your talent and your smooth as velvet style of writing poetry. Again, it's Great to have your back with us, God bless you my friend, and it's my opinion that 'Allure' will make a marvelous addition to the book.

You always do. *S* It's about time you moseyed back in here, alluring one. *G* Bringing a poetic beauty with you was expected... and you didn't disappoint. *S*

Only trouble is... if it takes a book project to slow you down, Ron's gonna be horribly overworked cause we'll nag... ya think you could find a computer more often? *S*

On another note, if you don't have Feeling's dictionary and want one, let me know. *S* I'm apparently victim of blonde moments... I have two... and one for each eye isn't working well. *G*

Ya make it real hard to pick fave lines and verses in this one... so many lovely poetic images and personification...and that has always been your poetry's crowning glory...
as is your rhyme and cadence...I so love the ethereal essence of your poetry...the way you encompass natures beauty with heart on sleeve emotions and wrap them in rhyme as smooth and soothing as the tide at Chesapeake Your poetry is classic romantic rhymes at their best..but with your own signature gift of beautiful images that create an atmosphere of serenity and peace.
I swear I can hear and smell, touch and taste the things you describe...and ya know how I love that LOL

Yearn of learn sparkles in first kiss of morning dew

that verse alone proves me mothy point for me...how stunning is that?
Me thinks its a groovy to the Aquarian degree

Now...whats a moth gotta do to get ya to submit another one???
You know Im never poetically satisfied  LOL

Congrats my beach buddy.

Chanson-Thank you much and it is good to be back though the time is still limited.

Joyce- Inspiration is the key to all things in life just as I believe life itself is an art-form in it's own.  Thank you dearly.

Donna- You never fail to bring a smile to my face with your tender words of praise and I thank you for that and for you being you always.  It is always a comfort to know that a person in welcome and I thank you for that as well.

WhiteRose-If you enjoyed the read then I am happy.  Thank you.

OLIAS-It is so wonderful to see names such as yours still here and I thank you much for your wonderful words.  The fact that you consider it a keeper is an honor to me.

Suetang-Thank you much for the gift of words you left me and your comments.  I appreciate them much.

BluesSerenade-And I do love it when someone lets me know which verses or lines they enjoy most as it helps me grow.  I thank you for that and for you kindness towards my work.

JM- You already know how much it means to me to hear your thoughts on my works and it is of course a great comfort to have one such as yourself in my corner to make my head swell a bit ( as if I needed it) lol.  Thank you my bestest and most loved friend of friends.  You truely shine in all you do and you know you bring life to me no matter what path I am on simply by giving your support whether quietly or not so quietly.  A treasure I will always cherish is the gift I found when we met in here and I hope you realize that by now.  Also thank you for keeping everyone up to date on my lack of attendence here.  I love ya a thousand times over sweetie.

Dee- Ahhhhhhhh ... my dear sweet one from the land of Oz.  You gotta know it brought a smile to my face to see your name here.  Yes, I knew you knew.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart and the fact that you would print it and read it over and over makes the writing worth it.  You are the perfect example of why we write.  Now, not to be a pest and all ... but WHERE IS THE VERSE??????

SEA-Thank you and I am sorry for my absence but it is nice to have such a wonderful welcome back from everyone and to be included in a book of those whom I consider among the greatest people there are to be associated with.

WoW!  I wanted in to read some of your writing as you had written such a nice response to 'The Cowboy and The Madam'  I am in awe of your writing and feel honored that you took the time to respond to mine. I looked in on your profile and says Native American interests. I have a Native American piece, in fact two one in Reflections called 40 Summers and one in Corner Pub called Missing Son, I would be interested in knowing if they had ring of authenticity to them as I  actually know 'diddly squat' about the subject matter, although I am totally enthralled by the old time cowboy and Indian concept. Anyway, so many thanks, I read several of your pieces and as I said I am so very impressed and in awe. I would have voted on this one for sure - brilliant.
