I don't suppose that you would know
what guilt does when it roams free,
slithering through my open veins
poisoning the all of me.

With venom of lies, bitter cries
all that I can not deny,
heavy as lead, a slow descent
through and around,
        down to the ground
a bitter IV drip.
Enough! It's made me sick.

I hold in hand a small entity
simple really, forgiving me,
let go of all the hate you feel
can't you see for me to heal
you must accept, that's the deal.

Please, let's move away,
leave the hurt in yesterday.

WhiteRose

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Anne, yes, the pain must always be left behind for going on is pointless if the centerpiece is designed as thus! (sigh) This is very heartfelt, sweet friend, I send angel hugs your way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Anne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Maree, sometimes it's hard to move away. There are people who carry their hurt around like a crutch, and they will never let go of it. I appreciate the read, and the vote dear.

Very happy to cast a vote for this jewel.  You recognize such an important point in this lines; that to let go of the stifling hold, guilt is that which we must be moving away from. Wonderful words my dear friend.

Hi WhiteRose, long time no see, eh?  You havent been at SN for a while, why not?  I could really use one of you critiques on a poem i recently written titled "A Pyro's Paradise."  Well, if you didnt know who i was before, you should now.  The poem was on target and pretty good, but i found a spot or two where the rhythm was a bit odd.  No worries though, i barely noticed so it should be fine.  Voting as we speak, you deserve it.

hahaha what a great poem, it starts off so thunderous like a rhino after a bull in a china shop!  I thought the second stanza was just on pitch and wildly visual.

This is the type of poetry that is overlooked in other lands of poetry(wink wink)

My own comment was it was so strong off the bat that i was little bummed with the ending..it seemed like you ran of gas.  The again maybe you need to have that visual sigh after such pouring of emotions.

regardless i just loved it what a great poem.

This is a special poem, I like it a lot. It expresses deep feelings of lack of happiness and then it shows how to regain happiness.
