The dark approaches deep in black
upon the world outside window
street lamps dim with this encroach
     a soft surreal glow.

Pictured thus in shadowed frame
with only pale illuminate
the earth is changed,
    the edges blend
corners shift, as black descends.

Inanimate in glow of sun,
nocturnals now awake
stretch of fur and feather
stir of life on lake
      midnight now transcends.

Truly now the night has come
as loud the darkness has become.

(sigh) Oh Anne, there truly is charity in night and in the night the moon always has a way of spreading prisms to all of Mother Nature as Father Time keeps bringing the clock down to daylight! (kiss on cheek) You have my vote, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Anne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
