With voices and with pens we speak, of thoughts of will and ponder
To knees we fall and outcomes seek, to answers yet of yonder

Even just in everyday, we question and we search
The break of war then comes our way, to knock us from our perch

For everyday we don’t believe, in outcomes that can be
We tend to live much more on hope, and hide from what we see

We cling a little more to love, to habit in each day
We tend to pray more to above, to make real go away

We could say here comes the end, but we will live till not
To get us through, we just pretend, and hold to what we’ve got

Our children say I love you and we to them a kiss
A miracle, each day of new, but freedoms thought we miss

The dramas are so endless, but mankind dares not rest
Until solutions make a mess and outcomes fail the test

For war is not solution but Band-Aid to a sore
That festers deeper to disease to break out even more

(big hugggsssssss) What bothers me most of all is that so many seem to believe war is inevitable, and no sane person wants this war, yet so many are doing nothing and just sit back and watch the world revolve around them, whereas that is the only reason we are not making any more progress than we should when those getting up to stand for love are only fractional! (sad sigh) This is so very heartfelt, sweet friend, I too pray as I will also stand, you have my vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rick, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Rick, this is an amazingly wise poem, very well thought out, eloquent, and especially relevant to me this "Eve of Destruction".My vote for this, sir.

Did I vote somewhere else for this?  But anyway it's worth another vote.  I love your poetry.  Joyce

This one got lost?  I thought I voted but am pleased to do it again, as I don't think I ever any of yours.
