A word or two I write today
To share my thoughts and truth
And once I start there goes my day
As treasured words evolve from youth
With signature that claims each line
The poetry I share is mine

It’s personal, my core of being
My outlet and my muse
The sonnet that does seed from seeing
The lines that self amuse
They’re honest and they’re fiction
This writer’s form of diction

What better way could one approach
The masses or the few
With simple words that can reproach
Each line, each word of new
It claims the mind
For words to find

It won’t bring in the dollar
That will get us through the day
Instead it makes us holler
When the words won’t come our way
It’s easy when it comes to be
It’s freedoms way to set us free

(smiles) Oh Rick, yes, they are all YOURS, and YOUR words are honest and true and that is what all good poetry comes from! That is why I am not a critiquer and only stomp upon poems that aren't honest and just lies or fallacious, but otherwise always enjoy the poetry I see! (big hugggssssss) Your muse shines with light, sweet friend, you have my vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rick, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Voting again, but I sure wish you were in a bit more often Rick, your poetry is so well done, and I read and save them.

This is a poet's poem if ever I read one! However, because of its form, style and apt language, I feel sure that its message would resonate with anyone who has had urges to write poetry, but lacked the self-confidence to try. Well done, Rick. My vote is in!
