My time and all my days evolve
With thoughts that keep my mind mud clear
In future seeing no resolve
With hope on which I hold so dear
Within my mind, among my fears
I ask of what becomes the years?

Pollution comes from seed then act
The child and curse of greed
Through voice of protest we react
To quell our thirsting need
Demise I see, deaths wound on men
War, its stench might rise again

Millions wait on leaders call
The weight of judgment high
On past now been we all recall
It’s never said goodbye
May this time we not regret?
Let us friendships not forget

Let us look on sunrise
And dusk each day we spend
Not let tomorrow bring demise
As peace and love we all defend
Let’s live toward each hope and dream
For peace on earth and ill’s redeem

No matter how much I'd like to vote for this, you must mark it as a book submission first.

(tears fall down my cheeks) I too fear impending war, and silently I keep speaking my prayers that somehow our leaders will realize that it is "In God We Trust" and they consider ending this approach and we can make a peaceful resolve instead, for the sake of our children, for the sake of the innocent, for the sake of our future! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderfully said, sweet friend, I would love to give you my vote, and I would love to help you out here:

To make this poem one you want submitted for Reflections, click the Edit button on the toolbar above your poem (it is the third icon to the right). Once you get to the Edit Post screen, check-mark the box above your poem text, then click Edit, and you're set! Once you get this prepared, I would love to vote for you! God Bless You, sweet Rick, we all love you so much!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Now this has what it takes to be a well written poem.  I enjoy your style of writing.  NOt only do you have a rhyme and meter, but you pack your words with meaning and feeling.  ~~~sigh~~~ the worries of today make the future's vision muddy and frightenning and all for the and yet you reign that in and state the obvious.. yet all to often ignored... you must live in today, love in today and treat it as precious. And yes, we must hang onto the hope for a peace that will smother war forever..... Thank you for sharing this.

Sherry

Cherish the good memories of the past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. But above all... be kind to yourself today.
