porcelain
  is our life

and yet
  we keep
    applying pressure
    taking its splendour
      to the distant extreme
        as if testing its strength
          in a futile character search

we push and prod
  until it finally crashes
    on our own faces
    breaking into pieces:
      ruined parts
        that we would struggle
          later to put together

often taking pains
  to make them stick
    together once again
      to appear like before

but the smiles
  on the face
    of our life are
      deformed

distorted forever
  like fractured truth
    manufactured from
      an original painting

      of lies
      (maybe?)

(big hugggssssss) Oh Sudhir, I too know just how you feel, in the beginning when God made the world everything was perfect under the serpent was condemned, and every day when we destroy nature and keep building our armies and technology, we claim we are trying to make the world a better place but it always seems to multiply new problems and tears! (sad sigh) If only we could just stop trying to perfect porcelain, my tears go out to the world, this has to be addressed and you have my most gracious vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sudhir, thank you for sharing!

Sudhir,
This is a treat.

The broken pieces of
porcelain/life metaphor
is particularly poignant.

Very much enjoyed. *s

Your poem's displayed
  very nicely here and
   I love the thing that
    you do with each line,

It's way cool!!

The analogy that you make between porcelain and our lives is very profound... This is very true even though we do have a hard time (at least I do) admitting this as fact I believe.... Life is very very fragile.

Good message and presented nicely too.

Fragile by nature, you describe the precarious balance of who we seem to be versus who we really are.  Porcelain is very appropriate example I think.  Very well done my friend.  I enjoyed reading.
