Your phrases,
     raw or steamed,
  consumes the cliched
       components of my core.

Munching,
Quenching,
Chewing me,

with your,

Heart touching,
Soul searching,
Gut  wrenching.

And, I, stand by.

Admiring your ability to
   bump a bruise
        on my existence.

Yet, I'll walk away
my own person,
ever, a thank you for that.

Married to self,
     I am singly pleased
           allowing divorce,
~we are no longer ~us~

But, when you penetrate
     my aliveness,
where skull and scalp
          covers consciousness
of the ~god of me~,
not the God I answer to,

but, the

~Goddess of my Essence~,

when your thoughts
     smear your soothing salve
          on my ~Mind~,
touching that most

precious part of ~who I am~,
then, I am,  eternally yours.

       Can you have me?

     ~Just Touch My Mind!~

Pat, I love this,
soemtimes I wish we had a voiced section here, to hear the way people read their own poetry.. I'd like to hear you read this one!
Like the whole idea of this, trying to choose a favorite line, think its:
....your thoughts
     smear your soothing salve
          on my ~Mind~,
touching that most

precious part of ~who I am~,

Always, Alyssa

I am surprised at the response here and pleased that all of you took the time to read and reply and vote, whoa...that's wonderful!

This does happen to be a favorite of mine and it makes me happy to know others have found something within that they, too enjoy....

To Aries, NancyLee, Noah, Linda, The Loner, Chanson, Ethel, Ellie, Martie, Duncan, Bill, Justblue, Dennis, ALyssa, Sudhir, Kaile......

Appreciate all of you taking your time to read and reply and vote. Thank you so much. Smiling here.....

I wasn't going to submit a poet for most poets here, are so much more skilled than I, and mine always seem to be a work in progress. Whether my poem makes it into the book, or not,  I'll be just as happy to have a book with my favorite poets and their best poems.

I thank Janet Marie for suggesting I submit poetry, too. This is a fun experience and hope to find  several hours today to spend reading this board.

The best of the best. what a treat!

Again, I thank each one of you for your generous replies.

Love and hugs,  Pat

I liked your poem and your attitude and you get my vote on both counts.  When we write it has to be for ourselves first and foremost, and the rest is gravy.   Good Luck.

Just to say thank you once more for all the replies.

It tickles me when ~my favorite poets~ reply to my poetry...as well as those whom I've not met through their poetry.

Very nicely done was achieved by the patient help of one of the best...
sometimes an inspiration for many of my poems.
