“MUSE AND THE HEART”

by
Bill Charles

~~~~
When my muse beckons to write,
and I sit here pondering thoughts,
I see in my mind mountains high,
with valleys below, yet my heart plots…
No matter the words that are within,
or when my fingers touch the keys,
somehow I’m entwined with you,
and my heart beats saying it agrees…
Perhaps the muse and the heart,
only act together with me as one,
for a hopeless romantic am I,
and my words are of adoration…
So my words flow of mountains,
and also of the valleys below,
but you’re always tenderly in them,
if not I wonder how they would flow…
~~~~

Bill, from one "hopeless romantic" to another, I love the way you write about romance. You know you have my vote, friend...

Is British Columbia where you were "on the road" to? (from Noah's reply) Hope you had a good time.

I prefer to refer to us romantics as
hopeFUL romantics . . . and our muse
is a reflection of the hope.

Lovely poem, as always, Bill.

It seems to me that the Spirit of the muse and the Heart of the man were very well intertwined in creating this poem my friend. Very well written.

The muse is amused. I am liking this one - I think we've all written something about our 'muse' at one time or another. Voted!

Bill
I guess there is a hopeless romantic part in everyone - yours seems to come out more often.  You must have a special "key" that unlocks it and sets it free.  Voted!
