Dear Kit,
I remember this so well. And it holds even more meaning to me now. It touches my broken heart, deeply. This has to be in the book!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

My goodness.  I'm an old guy  with that setting far behind me, but you drew those feelings right out of me. This is a "Kleenex alert" story.  Thank you.  Ken J

Kit....wow. The poem was pleasurable throughout, though I did stumble a bit on 'flourescent'. It was the ending couplet that made my breath catch, and flooded this inadequate mind with memories half forgotten.

Thank you.
