Sometimes it is so hard for us
To express what is inside us
Though we need each other so much
A crevasse seems to divide us

The breach stretches a million miles
But somehow there must be a way
To reach across and touch a heart
And to stop the canyon’s decay

A million miles—so very far
But there’s a way to make it through
The touch of friendship makes a bridge
To provide a path for you

Friends're nice.  It really doesn't take much to overcome all that distance, just a bit of commitment and a couple of devoted hearts.

I know these bridges you speak of...
they allow us to cross oceans and pass over mountains

Amazing how something as slight as a glimpse or a smile can bridge such great chasams, isn't it?

It is amazing how a little bit of love can cover so much distance. I personally believe that we, as human beings, were not MEANT to have our hearts so far from each other, but because of our pride and selfishness we become and island unto ourselves, that can only be crossed by the wonderful bridge of friendship.

Thanks for your comments and votes, and keep up the writing!

Sure glad you went back and fixed the little check box thingy.... I loved the sentiment expressed here.... you WILL find the friendship you seek.  Don't lose heart now.... Distance has no power over what was meant to be... I know this.

Warm Regards,

I have always been amazed at how expressions on people's faces change when a smile is born, and they share it.  You sure have my vote.
