At the edge and a doorway,TX

The kiss that rocked the world moved the oceans
Standing there eyes locked
Hearts pounding
Deep sensation
There in my head everything screamed out your name
I saw past those eyes
Straight into your heart and soul
Briefly, I saw a piece of me that I thought was lost in you
There, in that moment, I was one with you
Everything I ever wanted to be was there
Yet, I will not hold you back
I cannot be you "Goodnight Elizabeth"*
Should I walk away knowing that someone
else might be holding you later
Lips touch
Tongues intertwine
Breathe
I felt it through to my toes
Mad electric tingles surge straight through me
I know as I push you away
That I will always feel the same
Long I waited for this moment
Reality crashes upon me like a brick from the sky
As much as I hate it; I have to let you go
Walking to the car
Exchange of hugs and kisses on the cheek
Hands locked
As mine slides from yours I feel as if I have lost you forever
Will you miss me
Will you think of me
Will you dream of me
As I will miss you
Dream of you
Think of you
I hold that moment in my heart
as I anticipate your return
For you know as I do that I you will always love me
and I will always love you

Love,
Ladycat

Live in my world just once and you'll find yourself enraptured.

It's so hard to let go of someone you love... you've captured this very well. I can really relate to this. Great writing.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Vynette, I can relate ever so well to this feeling too, sweet friend, fear not, for he has a plan and though it may be confusing why this love wasn't meant to be, you will soon know why that happened and you will be blessed with a true new love that is bound to always make you feel special as you are deserving of true happiness! (sigh) You have my vote, dear friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Vynette, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Nicely written... sweet and just a bit sour.  Much enjoyed, thank you for sharing.

Very touching poem, kitten, and one I like.

There are only a few lines that need a little cleanup, such as the * after "Goodnight Elizabeth" and the last lines, with an extra I in 'that I you will always'.

Other than those two things, superb.
