LOL I lived on MacDonalds burgers and fries for over a half year back then in the seventies, I bet it's still there somewhere in Bethesda, Maryland.

As usual a beautiful, true life story poem you wrote here Deer. You always know how to turn simple things into delicious delights.

Such a pleasure to read you pal
I've cast my vote, may it become you well

It wouldnt be a PIPS book without your wisdom rhymes and cadence cool.

I love it, I voted for it, but sit shaking my head wondering if you could take a request for just ONE that I don't cry after it is finished, just one!

It's certainly nice to know you mess up on something... even if it's just on submission details. *G* For your pen doesn't make a mistake when it tells a tale so well... Love this, Deer one.

Never did time at the Big M, but I did a stint at Baker's Better Burgers and Tacos.  Truth told, it was some of the best times spent with good friends. A lot of fond memories.

Sir Balladeer, this one gets my vote for content, style and feel.  I bow to you and yours.

I remember this poem, Mike - It was a long time ago, but I still remember it.  This poem and your "Statue in Central Park" poem are two of my favorites.  I could hardly let this slip by without a vote.

Mr. Balladeer
THis is one of the greatest comentaries on the simple man, and to have you recite it to me was a thrill. Your story telling abilities are unmatched as you pick up on the obvious but unrecognized bits of life and weave them into the perfect poem
Warm poetic hugs

This is one I have always liked, from the first time I found it and read it. Very sad but wise poem, Balladeer.

Well his cycle is near complete. Pity the ol' boy, hope he had a few moments on his cycle where the wind caressed his hair and he was so balanced he felt flight. Well done

there is no one who can write these ballads as well as you Michael.

Always rolling off the tongue and so smooth on the ear.
