you know those types of poems that, after
you read it, force you to daydream and
you pretty much get lost in the memories
of the words. this is it.

The lovely pretend of children at play shows innocence in its purest form.  For me it was the arm of a rocking chair where I chased indians and bad guys with my Roy Rogers six shooters.  You've caught that spirit in a beautiful way.  Ken

Ken ~

You just brought more wonderful memories back to me!--those of my brother playing "Cowboys and Indians" as you did when you were a little boy! Thank you for that---and the kind words.

~ May the winds of change never blow out the flames of your warm memories

This is just beautiful, EA... and it brought back so many memories. *S* Not that my grandmother was ever the cuddly, baking-cookies type. LOL She was an old battle ax, hardened by the years and tears... and I wouldn't have traded her for the world. *S*

Bridgette ~

That little girl was really me! I would have loved your company back then. There was nobody for me to play with where my grandmother lived and I used my imagination to fill the hours.

Thank you!
Warm hugs,
EA

I had the kind of Grandmother you never forget the smell of her perfume and this reminded me so of her.  I bet you dance as well as your rhyme right   Lovely job of this submission.

This was an adorable poem.  Again second poem with a Knight and damsel in it tonight?  I'm expecting the round table next.... LOL

What a vivid telling of your pretend.  I remember my great-grandma's dresser and mirror.  She was given the dresser second hand from her mother as a wedding present.  and when she saw how much I loved it, she gave it to me while I was still rather young.

It's nice to see I wasn't the only one looking thru such magical glass.

Sherry

Cherish the good memories of the past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. But above all... be kind to yourself today.

Mysteria ~

Your loving grandmother, and your fond memories of her, have helped mold you into the wonderful grandmother that you have become for your beloved grandaughter, Tori!
Whenever you and Tori are together, she is making warm memories of her own that will make her into a loving grandmother one day!
It is an eternal cycle of loving...
Thank you for the sweet reply and blessings to you and Tori.

~ May the sun, the moon and the stars shine their light upon your's and Tori's paths in life...

What a quirky and thoughful poem, reminds of the innocence that I possessed as a young child, had some very nice rhythm and rhyming structure, I like this alot
