Mike, it pleases me that you do! Thank you!

May you have many magic moments in your own life!--and save those memories for your rainy days!

Warm hugs,
Linda

were you writing about me? I remember this, except I was at Grammas everyday, and she'd come and play with me too. There were so many treasures there, in Gramma's dresser.
Thank you for this, though, I'm close to tears.

Always, Alyssa

Alyssa, that must have been wonderful to have seen your grandmother everyday. I spent my summer's and special holidays at my grandma's house We lived hundreds of miles apart. The rest of the year I spent missing her! You and I are indeed fortunate to have such wonderful memories.

~ Here's a tissue for you and I think I'll grab one for myself!

Warm hugs,
Linda

It appears that there are a few us us here at PiP with similar memories. What pleasant and unifying thoughts we share! It's a nice feeling, isn't it?

Warm hugs to you!

Linda~ Wonderful memories and day dreams you share with us.Thanks for sharing...Paul
I remember my grandmother having one of those little dressers, that she could sit at and put her make-up on. Sort of low in the middle with drawers on each side that were higher than the middle and an oval mirror.

A most magical adventure as expressed through the eyes of your inner child. A very enjoyable poem to read.

Paul ~

My grandmother's dresser was low with french ivory pulls on the drawers. It had a huge tilt mirror on top that reflected the entire room. My sister now has the dresser in her home, but I like to visit it (and my sister!) from time to time. The little girl in me comes out to play whenever I gaze into the mirror.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply!
Warm hugs,
Linda

Bob ~

Thank you very much! Actually, I am still in touch with my inner child and love to play and see life through her eyes; however, she often has to battle for supremacy with my more jaded adult self who can get bogged down with responsibilities and the troubles of the world...Thank goodness, she usually wins!

May your life be full of magical moments!

Linda,
I was the eldest grandchild. Sure miss my Grandma. Fabulous write for which I'm voting.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Larry ~

Thank you very much!...and I can imagine how much she loved her grandson! You are going to have a whole choir of angels waiting for you when the time comes for you to pass through the pearly gates! In the meantime, we here on earth are blessed to have an angel among us!

Warm hugs and a great big smile,
Linda

Drab brown hair became flaxen curls
And my skin as fair as milk.
As I gazed into the mirror
A castle came to view,
Turrets reaching upwards
Into a sky so blue.
'Twas in this magic kingdom
That my charming prince did rule,
Some day he'd take me out of
My world so cold and cruel.
Upon a golden stallion,
He'd charge forth and carry me,
Back to his land of sunshine
Where I'd finally be free

This is heart warming and wonderful...
a perfect choice to represent you in the book. So lovely Linda.
