Heartache’s Seeds
By Larry Chadwick
In memory of: Ginger Michelle Chadwick 1974-2002

Our tears have mingled in pain,
Experiencing the loss that we shared.
Frozen by that moment in time,
Grieving that cannot be compared.

A heartache that we have known,
Will bond our hearts through grief.
A tie that will never be broken,
Not even when offered relief.

The foundation for harder times,
That strengthens our resolve to endure.
Let’s sprinkle today with tender moments,
And then through love our future will be sure.

For our time is fleeting we know,
Not to be wasted on selfish needs.
Instead, let’s invest it in others,
And we’ll benefit from those deeds.

Let us sow while we are able,
That we may reap when we are not.
And in the mean time let us,
Thank the Lord for what we’ve got.

April 8, 2002

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Hey Larry. I lost my dad, as you know, and grieved so hard I forgot to enjoy the love I had left. Then I lost my brother,(and others inbetween) and oh what a painful lesson drawn out for me. Smile with me?

Shoulda just read your poem. And yep, voted for this because this is something I think everyone should read...

Yes life is very fleeting.....time passes and we hardly realize until things aren't quite the same anymore....we must cherish and hold every moment dearly.  Your poetry is always very touching as was this piece....very lovely and very true.  Your poem reminds me of my Dad whom I lost on New Years Day 2002...he was 54.  Anywayz, Take Care!!!!

Larry darling heart and writer of the promise that is held within the breezes sigh, so often your writing touches the truth and clothes the mystery of life in words that reveal them for all to see. In this beautiful rhythm of life you have dressed the thoughts of soul in garments of glowing light. You’ve breathed your life into them and the poem lives and breathes in the readers soul.

Truly superb writing, you know that your writing fills me with awe, always your writing is awesome, and this is utterly utterly perfect. It is as smooth as silk which slips over my mind like a cloak of wonder. Truly you are excellent and I love it utterly

If this isn’t included it will be a travesty. A resounding YES vote

kaile,
You're the best. I love the youth of your wisdom! Thanks pal.

Elizabeth,
Dear girl. You know you touch my heart right where it's tender. Bless you.

Susan,
Thank you indeed. Much appreciated.

Larry, God bless you. You have had  so many losses, yet you manage to keep your spirits UP! I don't know how you do it, but I admire your spirit.

I am more than happy to vote for this and think it should be the first entry in the book.

Hugs to you, Marti

Marti,
Wow, such generous thoughts. Thank you so very much.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
