I was driving my scooter,
when I bumped into him,
In our little town.
I shouted: "Hello Rob, how are you?"
I pulled his head down
and kissed him.

He had to stop working
due to back problems.
It had been hard on him, because
nursing was his life,
I know, for he took care of me too.
He felt so useless now.

Tonight he called me on the phone
"I want to thank you for
saying hello to me so nicely
and for kissing me there in open street".

It had touched him deeply.
"Dear lad", I said,
"I'm kissing so few men these days".

But I thought: "How little it takes,
to make someone happy".

Life on the internet begins at...90!

Muys(my european mother),
I loved this the first time and I love it even more now! Bless you dear sweet lady. Wish I had a scooter and could ride through your town. You certainly get my vote.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Nicely written.  Indeed, it can be surprising how little it takes to bring happiness into someone's life.  Poetry is one excellent way.  Just keep at it, we could all use the extra smiles.
