“MOONLIGHT RAINBOWS”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
I wonder why I feel like I do at times,
when I walk with you holding hands,
it’s a feeling I have deep inside me,
my beating heart calls, as it expands…
A path we follow through the forest,
listening to sounds of the warm night,
all I want is to hold you close again,
for you to whisper things are alright…
Time seems to flow slower, as we stroll,
gentle whispers shared, words spoken,
faces meet tenderly one to another,
vows to each other, never to abandon…
Moonlight rainbows seen in the dark,
into the evening they seem to stay,
see the shadows gather into darkness,
yet fear not, for I will not leave away…
(does happy dance) Oh Bill, I knew all along this would be a brilliant submission for Reflections, and you did add it, yay! (smiles) You have my vote on this, the troubadour croons again, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
A very pretty image.  Makes me want to go for a stroll in the woods.  Nice writing.
This poem has three important ingredients that tickle my fancy: #1. Moonlight  #2. Rainbows  #3. Poet: BC----and not necessarily in that order! tehe
May your world be full of moonlight and rainbows,
It would not be a good book without at least one from one of Passions' masters of Romance.
Thank you.
Bill,
You are a man of romantic proportions. I can't help but think of a trail throught the redwoods when reading this. Excellent write. I'm voting now.
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
This is  one of those poems that you just got to read aloud. It sings like a beautiful love song. The first three stanzas, as if sung direct to your love, make up the melody and then the last stanza is a lovely refrain.
