THE RAINBOW

I watched and beauty did appear
Of that that pales the dream of men
The mind from blank to one so clear
An arch of colours came again
From where the lucent treasures lay
Beneath the rainbow mist today

As vibrant as the call to young
The butterflies that belly churn
It’s reach of wide with light begun
As seven colours came to burn
As tall and wide as cities be
Was Heaven’s bridge for all to see

The trees beneath, with glea did dance
But humbled to what high had come
While all about just stood with glance
Until the mist and sun were done
I watched with eye and inner thought
A painting such is never bought

And now when I’m in memories eye
In ponder on my life and day
That coloured sight does come on by
And peace again does come my way
And I await with chance and time
Again when Heaven’s Bridge is mine

(smiles) Poetry comes from the Latin word poesia, meaning "to create" and I believe when a poet uses all the colors of his or her palette, it is a grand creation as this rainbow you've made is, thus you certainly have my vote, yay! (big hugggssssss) This truly is a bridge to the heart, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rick, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Oh, I love the expression 'Heaven's Bridge'. What a wonderful way to paint a rainbow, my friend, and this would be such an excellent piece of art for our new book!!

very true, hard to capture the magic of a rainbow in a painting, but you did wonderfully with your words
