The Fountain

There’s a well of peaceful
knowledge deep within me,
a fountain that sustains;
I drink it always.
Since I found it, it’s become
my center, both the strength
in every breath and the reason
why I take it, source of what I am
and answer to the riddle of my life.
That fountain, source and sustenance,
that very constant answer, is simply
that I love you.

Hi Martie -- I've got another one done, but I'm not sure if it's ready, or where I ought to post it. Would you mind taking a look at it?

Oh, my goodness. This poem is simply outstanding. It touches deeply.

Too many phrases/lines to quote, but these, I love:

"in every breath and the reason
why I take it, source of what I am"

The entire poem is perfect.
So enjoyed. Thank you for sharing it and your talent with us. This is definitely one I shall keep.

Hugs, Pat

'S ok, Martie, I may not need that advice after all. Right now I'm thinking that I may never post another word to any PIPtalk forum. Some folks here have a bit of explaining to do, if they want to keep me as a participant.

I'll check back here one more time, maybe tomorrow, and also look over my E-mail then to see if there's anything in either place that gives me a reason to stay. It's a special day, so I won't be doing either today -- why spoil a good thing?

It's been a joy and I will miss every single person I've met here, some of them terribly, but as of right now it looks like I'm no longer a member of this group.
