“Travis?” Iambe said
as she laid a cheek against the cold wood
wondering if it indeed was him.

“Yeah, it’s me.” He replied.

The deadbolt seemed to stick
And the bind of steel against steel cage
Drug her fingers off the knob once
But she did unlock the door.

Pulling it open
She saw him framed against the blacker sky
With his featured dimmed
But not so vague she did not see
The intense sadness in his face.

“May I come in?” he asked.

“Sure” she answered and stepped back.

“Nice to see you Iambe.”  His voice trembled.
“wish it were under more pleasant circumstances.”

Her pupils dilated as they adjusted to the words.

“What you mean?” she asked.

“I talked to Konrad, he told me he’d like for me to wait
and let him tell you.” He murmured as he looked down.

“Got another cup of that coffee?” he asked.

“In the kitchen.” She replied and watched him
step around her to go get it.

“Let’s sit here at the table.” He said

“Konrad should be along soon.”

……………………………………………………………….

Some nights the wind sighs whispersof your name
Some times the snow flies and I find myself insane
I saw the change of seasons missing you my dear
Now I’m wishing for the springtime and winter roads to clear

They say the roads all lead two ways one out and one back
But every time I travel one it seems there is a lack
I have not found my way back to you after all this time
Yet I still must ask myself were you ever really  mine

Now.... I am not writing any more Iambe...until a certain MS Sunshine get Konrads saga resolved...and I expect anyone who want to pressure her into getting it written....to send her a nasty e-mail telling her she is a slacker

Can't wait to hear the news!
Also enjoying the rhyming 'song' verses at the end Ron...
I've almost got them set to music in my head.

KARI????
DO you want to be the one responsible for the moth being denied rhyme??????????
( i do believe this is payback for the poetic blackmail I endured last week)
You and Capt really layed it on thick...
perhaps you should have to RHYME the Konrad saga???

Captain?

OMG!  That poem at the end brought back The Bridges of Madison County in vivid color.  That was absolutely beautiful and I hope you don't mind I frame it?  The girls will tell you I do that with poetry that stirs my soul.  And this gave it a stir big time.  This whole sage is spectacular, hurry the heck up Karilea

Really like the way you're ending these Ron.  Is a nice change in style.  Even the rhyme's cool!

So....

Where is Konrad????

(sigh) Oh Ron, I can't wait to see where this conversation goes, I think it could be taken at so many angles but one in particular can fill the hues of the moment! (big hugggsssssss) This is marvelous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
