Carefully Tossing pennies in the well, Makes wishes ~From soft dreams, With no one around to tell; Closing eyes ~As they fall Lightly splashing far below, Look to clouds ~Drifting off To the land where warm winds blow, Gracefully ~Sprouting wings Follows the clouds as they go, Rising up ~Greets the sky Feels the warming of the sun Gone from sight ~Wishing well As the spell becomes undone, Fluffy cloud ~Drifting south Notices not the wishes fell. Even when you are softer than light, still, you rim the glass with acrid truth... as is your way, and always a pleasure to read... |

Professor, I love the sound of penny splashes. Maybe cause I know they hit their mark and there is a bottom, afterall. Enjoyed this. But I think a wish made is a wish in the works, riding on the wind until granted, one way or the other, sooner and sometimes, very much later. Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |
