My Dearest Whoever,

Just a purchased reminder, an uninspired
and factory rendered expression, to remind
ourselves albeit temporarily of things we
rarely think let alone say.

I couldn't tell you why this day is any different
from any other except that the barrage of
commercials haunt me into believing so.
And quite frankly I'll do anything for a lay

If it's important to you  it's important to me,
because I really don't feel like going through
the drama of being in your doghouse for something
as ridiculously shallow as this

So I give to you this store bought token of a once
beautiful expression, along with ridiculously over
priced chocolates and flowers. In the hopes I'll earn
a little more than a simple kiss.

Not really sincerely,
Me

That is truly a unique Valentine's card, Raph. I'll send you a quick cyber hug, will that hold you for a little while?
Heart hugs to you, I hope she responds favorably.

(smiles) Seriiously I think this would make a much better romantic card then the one in a box of cordial chocolate cherries anyday, you're being honest, unparsimonious, and faithful all at once! (big hugggssssssss) Consider yourself the real romantic, God Bless You, this is so clever, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Raphael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Well, you'd have to go to the other forum to see, I'm afraid...
that is, if I told you what I would say if you were to give this card......HeeHee!!

hello Raph, long time no see.   cards, how can a card possibly say how much you feel about someone. me? i'm boycotting valentines day purchasing. yeah right, if i don't buy a card for my beloved boyfriend, he's told me he won't be happy. see it's not just women who love it. sad isn't it. why cant people just tell eachother how much they mean to eachother every day, i do. sigh. off 2 the shops i go.........
lots of love, gemma xxxxx p.s keeping this little beauty 4 my library!

learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love.

Thanks Noah

Dixie it's that bad, what a stupid day. If you're in a relationship you're obligated to shell out money and if you're not then it's rubbed in your face so much you might as well call it I'M A LONELY LOSER DAY

Kaile politically correct what the hell is that?

Lisa such a sweet thing to say

Ethel you're a romantic and i admire that, your also a friend so i won't say anything more...

Sunshine You got it, this is an attack on commercialism and exploitation of a supposedly pure emotion, not to mention it's the guys who mostly get guilted and hosed into buying the crap

You're a dissident Mishy lol

Linda good for you at least your honest enough to admit the shallowness lol That i can admire

Thanks Cpat glad youenjoyed it

Effigy ...yes i agree

Susan that's me honest to a fault

Thanks nancy i gotta be me!

Gemma i like you too much to make fun of the person you love..but jeeeeeeeeez

Raph, I was just kidding you. Peace...Okay?

(Oh, I knew what you meant. I don't like it when people do things just for
show or because they feel obligated, either. If it's not from
the heart, I'd rather they not do it....whether it's flowers,
candy, or just saying "I love you".)

Karilea, I am......it reminds me of when a husband buys a boat motor
or a new fishing boat for his wife, when she doesn't fish......
or some new golf clubs, when she doesn't play golf....
I'm just kidding...If that's what you both want there's
nothing wrong with it.....

good grief me too... those things are wonderful aren't they? The adds are so true, one is never enough

and Sunshine? Jon and I got about the same thing lol

we did for the kids(they get their stuff tomorrow) it's more fun for them anyway.

Raph, I laughed and smiled all the way through this, you know what gets me are the jewelry adds, my god, they so try to black mail you almost into getting her something or you don't really love her...what a load of crap. I want the flowers for no reason other than he thought of me and just got them.( and if he picks them from a field where he was fishing by? can't top that, really, can't) Not because he was bombarded with commercials for 24/7 until Valentines day.
excellent job!!
