Yesterday and today
I saw some lovely Canadians
walking on water.
They were oblivious
to the frozen mountains of trash on the pond,
stepping gingerly and adroitly
over tin cans and plastic refuse
carelessly tossed aside by
brain dead two leggeds,
who also sometimes toss other humans aside,
to fulfill agendas never intended by God.
These Canadians weren't waving
any fancy colorful flags.
They weren't even showing off
their magnificent wings.
They were simply seeking
to fulfill their needs
for survival's sake.

We could learn much
from these geese
if we would sit awhile
alongside the Pond,
shut up,
look around,
and listen.

Loved this! Very unique and special! You are not only an active participant in this game of life--as has been evidenced by many of your poems--you are also a wonderful observer of it! I truly do enjoy your poetic works!

Warm hugs,

Linda, that is such a warm huggable reply! If ever I stop seeking answers from nature, it will be time to walk off silently into the woods and never return.

Rara,  It's one thing to be prolific, and quite another to be good.  You are both!

"Today I saw some lovely Canadians walking on water" . . . what an opening line!

TOE! There are probably 100+ members here who would pay to see that scene! ROTFL.
Better bring your toxic protection wetsuit.

Robert, My muse thanks you, and asks me to step aside, knowing the bows belong to her.

Ever seen one fly backwards?

Now you know we all walk on water up here right?  Actually it is quite balmy here these days Kacy no frozen water.  Those poor babies hope they are warm enough "down" there.  Nicely done.

LOL at your geese Sharon! Yes, after the short storm left, the sun came out and there are very few patches of ice left this afternoon. Sara and I took some digital pix of these friends, and will post them soon (or send them to you.)

Titia, great photo! I get to save such great pictures when you guys share these here. We need a new forum, Ron:

And all I ever say was their flight south in cold weather ...
I imagined only a glistening pond filled with a lot of "squawking".
Now I have an idea what all the noise is about.

           Spectacular messages throughout!

Hey Craig. Our local park has more of these Canadians than Americans some days.

Kacy,
I thought ALL Canadians walked on water!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

(big hugggssssssss) This truly is the best euphemism for "What are you all standing around for, people, let's get up off our chairs and embrace each other in peace like they are, for we are not birds without wings you know!" (sad sigh) I only wish others could listen the same, but they leave their ambitions pigeon-holed, this is powerful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Noah, you seem to be doing your share and then some. Yes, if we could all observe and respect nature more, perhaps we might find a way out of our mad spiral downward into the sewers.

Kacy,
I'm not heeding your advice since I'm an urban kid and there are no geese to be found for miles around here...

I'm listening to your words though...to my library this goes

Hi Kacy
I love to listen to the geese, too...all birds, in fact. They could teach us humans something, couldn't they?
.
.
BTW, I thought you had seen some miracle up in Canada,......with Nancy Lee and a bunch of them "walking on water".....LOL
.
.Actually, I wouldn't be very much surprised, because they really are a bunch of Angels, aren't they? They're all so sweet.....

Kaile, you've been deprived of one of nature's finest treats then! Thanks friend. With global warming and bird  migration routes changing, you may well see them there some day soon.

Salty, hehe, aren't they wonderful?

Ethel, yes, and I did see Mysteria walk on water last summer, and the ground and ponds weren't even frozen!
OK, so maybe it was just a wet sidewalk.
