When she would ask questions
he always brushed her
off
As if she were ignorant
or had an evil
mind

She would say things to him
about his actions
Telling him that different things
did not look
right

That people might talk
or read something into
nothing
even if he wasn't doing anything wrong

Now, she found out that she was right
all along
That he was doing
something terribly
wrong
That she was right all along to say what she said to him

Why didn't she ignore him and listen
to her own heart?
Why did she listen to him, instead?

.
.

Again, this has nothing whatsoever to do with mine and Gary's relationship. It's from my past....

Thank you for sharing these lessons learned. You cloak them in beauty and allow us all to learn as well.

garysgirl - after reading two of your writings about this same subject I thought that something was amiss. I'm glad that it isn't...

Ethel,

You cannot not listen to your heart in the way you are implying when that kind of evilness was never in your mind.  You were taught to trust and that was the natural thing to do. Often there are no signs of some things we'd not look for because we knew not of certain kinds of evil.

You are innocent.

Hugs and love, Pat

Ethel, I have asked myself this question many, many times. I wish I knew the answer. Hugs to you my friend.

(big huggsssssssss) Oh Ethel, I think so many of us are victims to these kind of lies, like me and my Joanna were recently when she hid her real love interest feelings from me, and I pray that maybe someday I will find a girl who I can give my Candy Heart poems to and she will happily accept them with faithful love in return! (sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I can relate to your past, not your present...
