The Glass of Time

I have kissed the face behind the mirror, a thousand times or more.
On the other side you have wiped my tears, three years ago, before.
Through this glass I can see your form, reaching a hand to me.
I asked for love and was given you, a reflection for Alice to see.

Opaque, you were in the Land Between, my glass of time, in touch.
A hopefulness, to know of warmth, inspiring words of such.
Your shadow played its hidden game, to tender me in tease.
You leave behind in window's fog, "I Love You" lettered with ease.

Each morning's rise brings me to you, backed in silvered glaze.
Rainbow streaks across the room as sun meets misted haze.
Colored you to soften wounds when stepped through cracks in time.
I asked for love and was given you,  a rainbow hued in rhyme.

The land between belongs to one, no other can I embrace .
I end my days in The Glass of Time, in kiss of the mirrored face.

~A~

I think this is the best poem that I have read all night.. truly beautiful.

Is your real name Alice or do you have an interest in the story of Alice? Just curious. I've always been fascinated by that story... sometimes I see her.

This seemed very intriuging....

How do you spell that?

Anyway, I think I'll put this into my patheticly small library.

Your reflection is stunning as are the words you write between the lines.

Enjoyed the peak into your looking glass,
and the persona you portray ~A~

Mirror mirror behind the cloth of black
I stare into and see me staring back,
Only me in silver plated glass
Is my reflection cast.
If I could see visions like you do
It might worth the gazing into.

Sometimes I have to read a poem several times before the meaning (or at least my meaning) comes through.  When this one come through for me I was stunned. Beautifully written.
