Itty-Biddy Wady Bug

itty-biddy wady bug
flyin’ pas’ a wazy swug
polky-dotted red-red wings
flappin’ to the song he sings

black is pretty, shiny, too
when he passes me an’ you
with sun all sparkly, wookin’ down
shinin’ on this wady-cwown

he fwies up there and then back down
makes a smile of my frown
wands on my elbow, crawls up top
then settles in to drink a drop

he’s such a siwwy bug, you see,
for all the raindrops coating me
are jus’ some pitchers on my shirt
jus’ above my ‘brella skirt

my mama made my pretty clothes
so I could be jus’ wike a rose
catchin’ raindrops in the spring
and all the wovewiness they bring

so wady bug and I will dance
in the sun with ev’ry chance
come out an’ dance with us, pwease do,
the sun’ll put some dance in you

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

This is cute..a nice refreshing read!! It's fun to 'go outside the box' sometimes.
