A rose, a rose, a solitary rose,
Alone atop its slender stem of thorn,
Enchanted bloom, its beauty to disclose,
To you my love, eternally be sworn.
Satin petals, a scarlet splendor rare,
Aglow in dawning’s rays, a gem pristine,
As Helen’s beauty pales to rose so fair,
I pledge my love, my promise sibylline.
There is, I think, no beauty as the rose,
Velvet splendor, simplistic in its grace,
Sweet fragrant scent, to senses doth expose,
An angel’s breath, enwrapped in satin lace.
To you my love, my rose, a valentine,
To ask of you, will ever you be mine.

Hello Tim

These words were written from a true romantic heart.  Here is a little something for you, not written by me.

"Friendship is the finest rose
in the garden of life."

"In our life
there is a single color,
as on an artist's palette
which provides the
meaning of life and art.
It is the color of love."

Take care.......Sue

I'm anchored in you

I just can't think of many other "non-poets" who write better of roses than you do, Tim... 'Tis true...
