A thousand stars light the sky
shining brilliantly at midnight
raining tears touch my cheek
falling into place
like the sound of laughter
blowing in the breeze
and silent screams
that carry down wind
days end in twilight sunsets
crossing the moon with lonely shadows
the ocean calms at the break of dawn
rising with the morning sun
that kisses me awake
stirring my imagination
giving way to some unknown inspiration
and thus my pen begins
to spill my heart
set in motion
and bring to mind
the contrast of emotions
written in my mood poetry.

this is beautiful
in fact, I turned my music off when I read this because it creates its own, well, it IS its own.
The thoughts of the tears falling into place like the sound of laughter touching your cheek was especially soothing.
Love it!

Lori, I don't know how I missed this one the first go-round, because I look for your poetry, but I'm glad I saw it now. I think it needs another go....

I totally relate to this poem. I tend to write "mood poetry" a lot....and I do have my moods, too. I really enjoyed reading this mood of yours....
