Crack In The Silence

This crack in the silence
disturbs me,
though there is
the absence of din
this air is alive
perhaps an omen
of what is to come
with darkness this night.

Of late the dreams betray
my heart , broken in sleep,
is weakened with day...break
upon thoughts the past assails
bringing dread as again I retire.

Of the assault I tire
yet no rest comes
with tumultuous dreams.

In the unconscience
my spirit screams

for a caress of the light
of day.

Very well written and I can relate to this from a long ago trauma. Never know if someone is writing a personal experience, but you captured it so well I offer you,

warm hugs and may you know strength and peace of mind.
