Bright sunlight shines through
Slats from the blind
Tracing striped patterns across my desk and wall
And I dare myself to think of happy thoughts
On this day of bad omens

Future spring to lighten the mood
Good news to make the heart sing
Life twisting in pattens of loss
And flavors of hate
Turn this day around

Leave the gray of cold behind
Reach out for the good
You are
The good you can be
Paint a new landscape
With this brush of mine

No more bad omens
After all
They are our own making

"And I dare myself to think of happy thoughts
On this day of bad omens"

Some days it's so scary to think happy thoughts. I liked those lines a lot.

Shiva went on break now look at how much it's gonna take to make this place a space where we can breathe.

I like the picture of sitting at your work desk, maybe pencil in hand and supposed to be working but entranced and englufed in thought ... And to go from a sorrowful thing and give it a good ending, I like this!

Always, Alyssa
