somebody's dungeon

Over time,
had you done research
           into your rhyme
you would have seen
that madness means
the disassociation
           of the thoughts
           from the mind
not necessarily
haphazard nursery rhyme.

But instead, perfect placement
of a twisted, bent psyche.
Not a sense of being flighty
nothing fake, not a ruse.

And with this, I utter truth
having known the grip of madness
from birth until this hour.

M,  Thank you, and it's going to change again. I've decided I'm just completely over the edge with this pic thing. I posted this one expecially for you, since I was smiling, but it just doesn't look like me. I'm not a smiling type of person I guess. I look like a stranger in that pic, so I sent in another one.

abbe: Yes, that's true. The more the mind delves into the darker side of life, the more it accepts the reality of life, making for a stronger individual. Well, I don't even know what I just said, but it sounded kind of good.

Thanks for reading, it is appreciated.

Anne, I knew someone who had such hard breaks in life that he really did go mad. I have seen this, so I know the reality of such mental illness. It is really a sad and heartbreaking sight to see.

I don't know if something touched you wrong or not in something you read somewhere, or not. See, that's what makes a good writer......the reader not knowing if it's caused from a personal experience or from observation. So, it shows how talented you really are.

.
Anyway, why I wrote all that, I don't know. Your poem just made me think of this person who is deceased now.

Ethel,  Thanks so much for reading and responding. I wrote this poem this morning after listening to a song on the radio about Mozart. I had read a poem before leaving the house that was meant to convey a sense of madness and it was mostly just jumbled words that made no sense. The two thoughts were mingling around in my head, and this is what came out. Mozart, even in his madness, was a genius. There was no jumble to his placement of notes on the page. That is not madness, that's just crazy
