I love to write about my Love
the one I adore and love
with all my heart
The one God has sent to me
from above
About the starry nights
we look upon
from the beautiful white beaches
in the soft velvet skies
The beautiful sunsets and the sunrises
of a beautiful morn
Of our love that we truly believe
to be forevermore
Never ending, with us always together
About our life of love,
of joy
and
happiness
To write of our love together
makes me feel better
ALWAYS

But......

There are past hurts that I NEED
to face up to...to write about
Happenings from previous times
that I wish came no longer to mind
And don't
UNTIL
I read some poem or hear some song
or see some movie
THEN
the hurts, disappointments
DARK MEMORIES
of yesteryear
come to
mind
I NEED to write of those terrible things
those dark memories of
yesteryear
so that the scars will heal
never
to
be
remembered
again

NEVER
again
to
be
remembered

To
be
forgotten
FOREVER

Ethel, often remembering the bad times make us appreciate the good times all the more.  Nice work!

Then please write them you know there are many who do the same, and most importantly those who would listen.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Ethel, I believe that in all relationships to understand and sympathize with all ones heart for another is important, as I have so much darkness in my past and much mysteries twisting in my minds attic! (sigh) This is very sincerely heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Ethel, I do enjoy reading all your up-beat loving and romantic poetry, BUT if you have the need to express past hurts, pains and delusions...please do! I'll read and understand...

I love the conflict going on here, because it is so very real....where there is great love, there is also a need to purge oneself from the past. In our hearts, I think we do need that, to make room for the future.  Oh, this was a wonderfully phrased write, and very, very human!  Loved it!!

Hi Karen,
Yeah, it seems sometimes there is a war
going on inside, between emotions.
I'm glad you enjoyed. Thanks....

Hi Michael,
Yeah, I think  you're right. Because of my
past experiences, I appreciate the way
my Love treats me, even more. He is so sweet...

Hello
.
.
Raph,
I know that most people here would understand.
It's just very hard to write about things that
have been pushed way down inside.
I'm going to start trying more, though.
Thank you....
.
.
Noah,
That's very important. One of the many things
that I love about mine and Gary's relationship
is that we have become to trust each other so much
that we talk about anything and everything. We have told
each other things that we have never felt confident enough
to confide in anyone else about. We love each other unconditionally.
Thank you,......
.
.
With hugs from
Ethel

Hello Linda
It's good to see you here.
Friend, I know that you would understand whatever
I might write about. It's just so much easier
to write about the sweet, happy, loving ways
of mine and Gary's love.
Thank you for your friendship....

You've shared with all of us both your love and your conflicts.  It takes great courage to show these emotions and I admire you (and your writing) greatly for it.  Ken

Ethel, alot of times those memories are hard to forget. And yes, it does help to write about them. Sometimes you have to write about them more than once to get to the point where there is no more pain.

I enjoyed both sides of it......unfortunately.....in order for us to see the beauty.....we must also see the "ugly" in order for us to feel the good...we must also experience bad.  It is in the way in which we understand and interpret them......the way in which we choose to deal with them that makes all the difference.

Hello Sue
I knew that you would understand. I wish I
could write about those bad experiences the
way you do. Just when I think the bad memories
are gone, they pop back up again.
Thanks for replying to my poem...

Hi Lisann
I'm glad that you enjoyed my poem.
Yeah, sometimes I guess my way of dealing with
things is to ignore them...which isn't good.
Thanks for replying...

Hello Sea
Yeah, I know. I sure do want to get rid of the bad
memories and shake them completely off. I've got
too many good memories in the process of being made now.
I'm really glad that you liked the way I did
the poem. Thank you very much...
