Torn at the seams like a pillow of feathers flying in mid air there's no hope left in the mirror only my distorted reflection that finally got the best of me. I should have known I would end up sitting caddy corner outside the window looking in never close enough to pull myself through missing the train of thought or someone who cared enough to come back for me. So I dabbled in poetry to ease my pain and blew it off like half a dozen letters that went unanswered bringing it all home again. Had you known, perhaps you might have understood how it felt to be run through the wringer and have all that I believed in shrink up inside. So like the feathers that fall without any hope left to float. I've no heart to mend the sky was falling before the walls came tumbling down burying my faith that I tried so hard to save. |
