Black Sheep

He's always been the black sheep
and today his color shown.
Divisively he drew the line
and tripped me, laying prone.

I took his word, allowed its find
to enter, scathe my heart.
He's always been the black sheep
and in this way stands apart.

Naive am I to  believe his words
and whence they've come to be.
He turned my day into a whorl,
hammering into me.

Upon himself he took the road
to create my feel "alone".
I spent the day reminding self
his color he has shown.

I've blocked him from my life for now
and if the phone shall ring,
if voice of his should reach my ear,
a scolding I shall sing.

Reminding him to stay "his place"
and leave mine for my own.
He's always been the black sheep
and today his color shone.

M

yes this is a powerful one.

I look at myself right now wearing black pants a maroon sweater and some slick black shoes, I look as if I should be a businesswomen, but I'm heading to a doctor. Its hard to know when that black sheep is there to haunt or is really the most beautiful and unique.
I like this.

Always, Alyssa

nahh, I was writing about my older brother who chose to unload all his jealousies upon me...making me feel as if I had nowhere to turn when I needed to..but it was all lies and my mother told him off and called me today to straighten it out. Fun having three brothers and a sister. Some days you just want to pretend you are an only child.

Alyssa, my older brother has always had the title "the black sheep" of the family and I have always defended him as I do everyone I care about. But as of today he is on his own...
