How long has it been since I’ve
become numb?  My heart has fallen
into sleep, and from deep in
my soul I wonder if love
can stir me again.  Then, with
a smile, I think of you...

the first line is inviting.

'how long has it been since i've been numb'

and the last line is such a great way
to wrap it up.

my only complaint. maybe everything in
between, a little too short for my taste
but i can't complain, because i did like it.

welcome to PiP. don't be too honest around
these pages. ha! ahem, inside joke.

-chris.

my intent here was to write a poem around a "secret" message.  it had to be five lines, the poem itself relevant to the message hidden within.  thought i'd bold it just to make it obvious.  : )
