(This is dedicated in memory of our fellow astronauts who were lost in the Columbia crash today, may they always rest in peace and may we send our thoughts and prayers out to their families during this difficult time! )

Star 69
(Co-Titled "Andromeda Aria" )
By: Noah Eaton
2/1/03

He drifted off into space
With familiar tears slipping down his face
He still wears his wedding ring on his finger
From his hand his picture of his family lingers
He caresses a star in the sky
Reminds him of hugging his daughter, begging her not to cry
And he says,

Honey, honey, honey
Promise me you won't forget me
I'll always be blowing kisses to you from Venus
Honey, honey, honey
Remember your love will always be my aria
And when you look right through Andromeda
Will you always be my satellite
Telling you everything will be alright...

He finds his way to the Pleiades
Reminding him of the loving daughter he raised
Remembering always how she twinkled like Asterope
And buzzed like a bright bee like Merope
Her smile now never leaves his unaided eye
Like doves and pigeons he is free with his cherished memories
Which will prosper inevabitably...
And he says,

Honey, honey, honey
Promise me you won't forget me
I'll always be blowing kisses to you from Venus
Honey, honey, honey
Remember your love will always be my aria
And when you look right through Andromeda
Will you always be my satellite
Telling you everything will be alright...

IF I HAD JUST ONE WISH
IT WOULD BE JUST THIS
THAT MY CHILDREN WILL GROW WITH LOVE
AND KNOW THEY HAVE A DADDY WHO LOVES THEM SO MUCH
LOVE, PLEASE DON'T CRY
I'LL ALWAYS BE YOUR SUN, SHINING BRIGHT
TELL ALL MY LOVED ONES I SAID HI
AND EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT...

........EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT!!!

Honey, honey, honey
Promise me you won't forget me
I'll always be blowing kisses to you from Venus
Honey, honey, honey
Remember your love will always be my aria
And when you look right through Andromeda
Will you always be my satellite
Telling you that...
EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT
EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT
HONEY, HONEY, HONEY
EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT...

Everything will be alright...
I am your Star 69...

Oh, Noah...what beautiful thoughts and somehow bringing peace to those left behind. You have captured the sadness, and enveloped it in hope.  God Bless.......

Tears, tears, tears.  Can't write for the sadness I feel.  This is so beautiful I must share it with others.  Much love to someone who can respond so quickly to such horror.  Barb
