a star fell today
from radiant skies sublime
but it's gleaming majesty
summoned heavenward not wishes
but prayers

a star fell today
but eyes which rose
to behold it's radiant path
glistened not with wonder
but with tears

a star fell today
and left a hollow
in the cold bright firmament
which is the exact shape
of the hollow in my heart

Well written, a wonderful tribute and quite "heart" touching.

Forgot to proof-read; Line eight should read:

I'm still at a loss for words,
but admire those who can bring
them forth...

Thank you.

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, a star did fall and now God has seven new angels who will always watch over their families! (sad sigh) This is powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Yes, my friend, I think this is an outstanding tribute to those we lost today. Many of us share that same hole in our hearts...thank you for this.

Thank you for writing this. I can't seem to find the words to express my heart, but you did it very well.

Speechless by how words come forth at a time like this.  I'm happy that others are expressing what I can still only feel.  Thank you.  Barb
