So the visions in the midnight air serve up the past of days gone by A woman scorned and a heart that's torn sleep tonight thoughts of you will deny I want to call just to hear your voice reach for you but your not here seems that some nights I have no choice but to lie awake in want and fear Fear of reality that I'll never again see your face or hold you in my arms like before God knows how much I miss you in this place what I'd give to have you with me just once more While thoughts of you occupy my lonely nights as well as my sunshine absent days thoughts of you encompass my sights on my mind your memory lays For I love you more than life itself without you I'm dead in the color of blue and like a book never read that lies upon the shelf I sit here alone, by myself, and continue...to think of you Copyright © 2001 Dennis Hicks All Rights Reserved By Author |
