Turning to toil
in my secret gardens
climbing roses unfold
that I've so carefully pruned.

A scent of blush fills the air
from a fresh sprinkling
climbing over an arbor
leaves a mist in the morning.

Clinging vines on a trellis
where tender buds bloom
hinting at spring
petal pushers that swoom.

As they dapple and dance
in the shadows of sunlight
renewing the spring
and the beauty I love.

That slips in so slowly
to lie in my arms
a bouquet to behold
long stemming from you.

Lori,
Silly me I had you pictured in these just below the knees small hem slit pair of pants working in the garden. Well, never mind. It was almost as romantic as your poem!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Lori,

"As they dapple and dance
in the shadows of sunlight
renewing the spring"

How pretty is that! Like the image and the sentiment of this poem. Frangrance of this garden:lovely! Re-reading is a pleasure.

thatnks for helping me take some time to smell the roses. I like this

Lori, once again you have painted a beautiful picture with words. I love roses, too...

You guys are the best, thank you so much for stopping long enough to smell the roses.

I anticipate the spring with open arms, as my garden is begging to bloom again.

I just hope my petal pushers will still fit!

TD~  In a perfect world, I wish!  Thanks.

Raph~ I started to use the word rebirth when writing this.  It's nice to know it didn't get lost in the message. I appreciate you reading.

Noah~ If I can bring a smile to your face then I have succeeded.  Thank you kindly~

Kethry~ What a nice surprise to see you here.  I'm so happy you enjoyed that line...when you stop to think about it that's where it all starts.  Thank you so much for reading.
