Morning Light's Whisper

As I awoke, I heard the morning whisper in my ear
“What are you doing here?”
“The sun is up and it’s a beautiful day”
“Why do you let darkness cloak you this way?”

I had no answer, as even I was tired of things the way they were
“Just how do I forget?” I asked, as my vision began to blur
“How do I get over a hole… in my very soul?”

And this is what morning light said to me:

You have take what you feel
And swallow it like an oversized, bitter pill
You don’t get over it
Or through, bit by bit
You learn how to live with the hole
Though the process may be slow
But in the end
You won’t have to pretend
You will know the pain
But it won’t be an unwashable stain

So get up and face the day
Feel the warmth from the sun as you make your way
And understand,
Your strength is not in a mere man
But rather, within your own hand

The sun does shine for a reason, it is there for the taking if we so choose to bask in it's warmth.

Enjoyed your message Susan~

Susan, bravo for you....

This is a very good way to feel. Who knows what the future will hold. More happiness than you've ever known before, maybe......I sure do hope so....
